Child and Adolescent Therapy

In child counselling the focus is on helping younger children communicate their feelings through play therapy, art, and storytelling. These non-verbal methods allow children to explore emotions they may not yet have the language for. The goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where they can work through issues like anxiety, behaviour problems, or family changes, building emotional resilience along the way.

Adolescent counselling, on the other hand, focuses on the challenges teens face as they navigate the complexities of identity, peer relationships, and increased responsibility. This age group often benefits from more direct conversation and behavioral techniques, guiding them through struggles with self-esteem, school stress, or social pressures or self harm. Therapy helps them build coping skills, resilience, and a stronger sense of self.

Unlike adults, children and adolescents are still developing cognitively and emotionally, making it crucial to provide them with specialised support that understands where they are in their journey.
